Delete My Data
Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to request erasure of your personal data — also known as the "right to be forgotten". This page explains what data we hold, what gets deleted, and how to submit a request.
📋 Most data is stored locally on your device — clearing app data or uninstalling the app removes it instantly without contacting us. Only account data (email address and saved events synced across devices) is held on our servers.

How to delete your data
⚠️ Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Your saved events and account history will be lost.
- Send us an email using the button below. Include the email address associated with your Nearby & Now account so we can locate your data.
- We will verify your identity to ensure we are deleting the correct account (we may ask you to confirm access to the email address).
- We will complete the deletion and confirm by email within 30 days, in accordance with UK/EU GDPR requirements.
- Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered. You are welcome to create a new account at any time.
Prefer to do it yourself?
If you only want to remove locally stored data (location, preferences, saved events) without contacting us, you can:
- On iOS: Go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Nearby & Now → Delete App.
- On Android: Go to Settings → Apps → Nearby & Now → Storage → Clear Data.
- On web (PWA): Open your browser's developer tools, navigate to Application → Local Storage, and clear all entries for
nearbyandnow.com. Or simply clear your browser's site data.
Unsubscribe from emails only
If you only want to stop receiving emails (without deleting your account), click the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any digest email we have sent you, or email us at hello@nearbyandnow.com with the subject "Unsubscribe".
